Rarely Seen Above Ground unleash new song
Out with the acronym, in with the noise!
To celebrate their becoming “a collective entity”, Rarely Seen Above Ground – there’s no abbreviating any more! – have assembled an explosive seven-minute epic, ‘This Winding Sheet’, which will be aired on Sunday at the Electric Picnic on the Crawdaddy stage and again on September 9 when Jeremy and bassist pal Colm O Caoimh are joined by Rocket Surgery and Geppetto for a Dublin Workman’s Club first birthday gig. Tickets are €12.
“What Colm and I have produced is a glaring sign of what’s to come,” the former enthuses. “Bigger, Bolder!” Away from Rarely Seen Above Ground, Mr. Hickey has spent the summer touring the European and South American festival circuit with French electronic outfit Bot’ox.
