Radiohead's Marlay Park date confirmed

The mystery surrounding Radiohead's summer visit to Dublin is no more!

As revealed at the start of this month exclusively on hotpress.com, the Oxford quintet will finally re-emerge from over two years of seclusion and one of their first visits will be to Marlay Park. The date's now been confirmed as August 24, with tickets going on sale on March 31.

The performance will be one of the few stops showcasing work from the band's anticipated follow-up to 2003's Hail To The Thief. It's believed that the album will feature 'Bodysnatchers' as its flagship single.

A statement from the band says: "To keep things more fun and spontaneous, we will be playing new songs that are work in progress. We will also be releasing music to download when we are excited about it, rather than wait twelve months for a full blown album release. Music's not just about all-time greats - it's also a document of its time, and we want to be able to put out a song when it feels right.""

A little birdy has also chirped to hotpress.com that there is a strong likelihood Beck will be joining as special guest. The singer has been busy himself with work on a new album and also readying a 10th anniversary edition of Odelay.
