Legendary keyboardist dies age 69
Hot Press was saddened to learn the news of the death of legendary keyboardist and former Faces and Small Faces man Ian McLagan.
News broke yesterday that McLagan had been admitted to hospital in Austin, Texas in a critical condition. Local reports suggest he died after a "massive stroke".
The Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Famer had been on these shores as recently as July to play a rollicking set at Whelan's. Unsurprisingly, luminaries far and wide have been paying tribute to the bonafide superstar, who also recorded and performed with Bruce Springsteen, Chuck Berry, Billy Bragg and a host of others.
So very sad to hear of the news about #IanMcLagan who passed away following a stroke on Wednesday 2 December. RIP Mac.
