Stadium giants REM are to release their first-ever live album and DVD this autumn - a recording of a concert in Dublin.
REM Live was recorded in Dublin's Point Theatre on 27th February, 2005, during the band's Around The Sun tour.
The tracklisting draws on their most recent album, with songs such as 'Electron Blue' and 'Leaving New York', but also features perennial favourites ('Losing My Religion'), rare airings of their early work ('Cuyahoga') and an unreleased track entitled 'I'm Gonna DJ'.
The release serves to strengthen REM's Irish links, as it comes hot on the heels of their five-night 'live rehearsal' in Dublin's Olympia. They're currently recording with Irish producer Grant 'Jacknife' Lee and their 2001 album Reveal was recorded in Meath's Grouse Lodge Studios.
The concert will feature on a double-CD and single-DVD, and is pencilled for release in October or November.
