Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill are said to be heavily involved.
Since emerging on the scene as the frontman for hip-hop pioneers A Tribe Called Quest in 1990, Q-Tip has never failed to impress in regards to any project he has been involved in, and his latest is a very interesting one indeed.
It has been announced that Q-Tip is teaming up with close friend Leonardo DiCaprio, who won Best Actor at the Golden Globes for his role in The Wolf Of Wall Street last night, to produce a television series based on the Native Tongues hip-hop movement of the '90s. Oscar nominee Jonah Hill is also on board.
The autobiographically-styled series will loosely focus on Q-Tip's personal dealings during the Native Tongues era, and will feature artists such as De La Soul, The Jungle Brother, and Mos Def, who all were heavily involved in the movement.
No writers or time frame have been announced as yet, though it is already very much in development. Stay with hotpress.com for further updates.
