The unique fundraising campaign is the biggest public arts initiative ever in Dublin.
Pigs On Parade takes place across Dublin in the New Year, an arts initiative to raise much-needed funds for the Jack & Jill Children's Foundation.
It will see 100 unique pieces of art – painted and decorated life-size fibreglass pigs designed by Irish artists such as Vincent Devine and Willie Redmond – displayed in public areas around the city in January.
The pigs are available to be sponsored or purchased in the run-up to the parade, with proceeds going Jack & Jill. A live auction will then take place in March.
"We are very excited to launch Pigs On Parade both from a fundraising perspective and as it creates unique pieces of art for the public to view," says Jack & Jill founder Jonathan Irwin. "The monies raised from this campaign will support home nursing care for our 300 sick children nationwide."
