One Direction still at No. 1
The boyband are going nowhere...
X-Factor giants One Direction have held onto the top spot of the Irish album chart once again with latest album Take Me Home. The five-piece, one of whom is Mullingar man Niall Horan, formed in 2010 during the TV show, and released their debut Up All Night last year.
Candian crooner Michael Bublé - who recently announced 2013 Dublin dates, is this week's No. 2 with festive offering Christmas. At No. 3 meanwhile is R&B star Rihanna with Unapologetic, while Hawaiian singer Bruno Mars is at No. 4 with Unorthodox Jukebox. Husky voiced devil Rod Stewart completes the top five with Merry Christmas, Baby.
The highest charting Irish act this week is The Script, who are No. 10 with #3. The Dublin trio are interviewed in our brand new Annual, in shops now.
Following a fantastic O2 show on Wednesday, Florence + The Machine's latest album Ceremonials has re-entered the chart. It's at No. 47 this week.
