One Direction made yet more history on Friday when they became the first people to record a programme in TV3’s new Sony HD Studio.
Located at the national broadcaster’s Ballymount HQ, The 500 square metre state-of-the-art facility will not only enhance the station’s current output, but also be used to “produce and create a raft of new shows.”
Programmes like Take Me Out and Alan Hughes’ Family Fortunes, which are currently shot off-site will now move in-house, saving TV3 a tidy sum. The extra floor-space will also enable Tonight With Vincent Browne to introduce a live studio audience.
After taping One Direction: Our Story So Far with Karen Koster, Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall and Zayn battled their way through the adoring masses out at Donnybrook to appear on the Late Late.
