One Direction debut at No. 1 in album chart
The popular boyband’s Directioners were out in force to halt Kodaline’s bid to reclaim the top spot.
One Direction have gone straight in at No.1 this week with their third album Midnight Memories. Expect the former X-Factor stars to be a fixture in the album chart with Christmas rapidly approaching.
Kodaline are riding high at the moment following last week’s sell out gigs in the Olympia but their debut album In A Perfect World fell slightly short of reclaiming the top spot landing in at No. 2.

Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is at No. 3 in the chart while the Top 5 is rounded out by former Take That bandmates Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow who are in at No. 4 and 5 with Swings Both Ways and Since I Saw You Last respectively.
