OMI lands Irish No. 1 with 'Cheerleader'
James Bay and Years and Years trail Jamaican in singles chart
Reggae star OMI has seen his song 'Cheerleader' climb two spots to head the Irish Singles Charts this week.
The track has held off competition from James Bay and Years and Years, dislodging Hometown from the top spot they claimed last week. The boyband have seen their 'Cry For Help' slip out of the Top 50 altogether.
Back near the summit, there's continued success for the likes of Maroon 5, Ellie Goulding, and the power trio of Rihanna, Kanye and Paul McCartney, while there's only one new entry in the top ten; Wiz Khalifa's 'See You Again', featuring Charlie Puth, forcing its way into the upper echelons at No. 9.
