Northern acts line-up to play Oh Yeah sampler launch
The quadruple-header takes place on September 16.
The Oh Yeah – Contenders album gets the official launch treatment on September 16 when A Plastic Rose, The Wonder Villains, Farriers and More Than Conquerors descend on Belfast’s Oh Yeah Music Centre. Tickets for the over-18s event are £15.
Also featuring on the sampler of young Northern Irish acts are Here Comes The Landed Gentry, Ram’s Pocket Radio, Clown Parlour, Pretty Child Backfire, Bellwether State, Colly Strings, Axis Of and Silhouette.
The aforementioned acts made the cut after impressing a judging panel of 30 local rock ‘n’ roll luminaries.
The Oh Yeah Centre is also the venue on September 18 for the Volume Control all-ages club’s first birthday party. Helping them celebrate are Panama Kings, Matrimony, Paul Shevlin, Settle For Less, 1930s and those busy Bangor/Holywood boys Colly Strings whose debut EP is well worth tracking down.
