The former Fat Lady Sings man also has a new album ready to roll.
Artist, filmmaker and musical synchronisation expert Nick Kelly has been added to the Technology In The Creative Industries: It Kills Us. It Sets Us free panel, which takes place on Saturday afternoon at The Music Show.
He’ll be slugging it out with Gang Of Four legend Andy Gill who’s the man responsible for producing Fight Like Apes’ The Body Of Christ & The Legs Of Tina Turner album, writer and director Maurice Linnane and composer Liam Bates.
We imagine Nick will manage to slip in the odd plug or three for Nine Lives, the album he’s releasing on October 22 under the pseudonym of Alien Envoy. A beautiful collection of songs, it features guest turns from the likes of Ann Scott, Boo Hewerdine, Joe Chester, Pete Pamf and his former The Fat Lady Sings bandmates.
The Music Show, presented by Hot Press in association with RTE 2fm, runs from October 2nd-3rd in The RDS, Dublin. Saturday 2nd October 10 am - 6.30 pm, Sunday 3rd October 11 am - 6.30 pm.
Tickets are available from [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link] priced at €12 (one-day pass), €16 (weekend pass) and €28/ €36 (family pass 2 adults & up to 4 children).
