New beginning for Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds

Speaking to Hot Press, iconic garage-rocker Nick Cave has reflected on his fifteenth studio album Push the Sky Away, calling it 'the beginning of something'.

"There’s something about the new record that has really opened things up again for us musically", he said. "It suggests all manner of things that can be done."

Cave continued: “We feel quite inspired around that record to carry on and see where else it goes. Some records you take years to recover from. There’s a kind of heaviness to them and a kind of ‘end of things’ feel to them. Some are the opposite, and have a lightness, and feel like they’re the beginning of something. This record feels that way to me. What I’d like to do is get in at the start, writing another one.”

30 years after the formation of the band, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are set to embark on a summer tour which includes a headline slot at this year's Body & Soul festival at Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath.
