New Roesy album on the way

You can get a taster online.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 11 Mar 2010

Roesy returns to the fray on April 23 with Fable, his fourth album, which was mainly assembled in New York where he’s now living and playing a rake of shows over the next couple of weeks in celebration of Paddy’s Day – see myspace.com/roesymusic for details. The page also has a stream of new track ‘Motherless Child’, which is a re-arrangement of a traditional tune.

We’re also loving the promo he’s made for another Fable track, ‘Stardust’, with video artist John Pender.

Trailin' The True Star

With his recent Colour Me Colourful LP proved something of a gem, the release of the swoonsome 'Trailin' The True Star' testifies to the Birr man's true power, swelling with rich nocturnal imagery and beautiful one liners. Armed with uplifting melodies, Roesy soars without ever succumbing to bombast. Always subtle, hints of the great Leonard Cohen crop up throughout. A joy to have him back.

Roesy live @ Whelans, Dublin

It’s no surprise when Roesy opens his second Dublin gig with the title-song of his latest album, the soulful 'Colour Me Colourful'. What is unexpected however, is that he dedicates it to the Garda who just caught him breaking a red light in an effort to get to the venue on time.
