It features an appearance from The Strypes' Josh McClorey.
We told you more was coming when we gave you a short teaser of new Paul Weller material earlier this week and we're as good as our word.
The Modfather has confirmed the release date of his latest solo album – it lands Friday May 8 on his new label Parlophone.
Saturn's Pattern is Weller's 12th studio album and the follow-up to 2012's well-received Sonik Kicks. Consisting of nine songs (see tracklisting below), it features an array of fine players, including Cavan teen Josh McClorey of The Strypes. Also on the record are Steve Cradock, Andy Crofts, Ben Gordelier and Steve Pilgrim, as well as original Jam member Steve Brookes and members of Weller's favourite new band Syd Arthur.
The man himself himself says he thinks it is both boundary-pushing and "one of the best things I've done." We'll find out this summer. Touring will follow in winter.
