New Nas album on the way
The Illmatic star eyes a summer release.
It's been almost three years since Brooklyn rap god Nas dropped a long-playing collection of fresh tunes but it seems the wait for a follow-up to 2012's Billboard 200-topping Life Is Good is not far away.
With 20th anniversary celebrations of his game-changing 1994 debut Illmatic almost done and dusted (he will perform it as the headliner of Mullingar's Life Festival on Sunday May 31), the rapper has promised a new LP will arrive shortly.
"2015, new album this summer," he promised during an Orlando show over the weekend.
It will be his last record for Def Jam.
Music aside, Nas will be in Dublin in early November for this year's Web Summit, talking investing and entrepreneurship.
