Mystery Jets, Dan Le Sac join Belsonic line-up

The line-up for August's Belsonic festival in Belfast is hotting up with some new additions to the bill, including Mystery Jets, Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pip and Delorentos.

As previously reported on hotpress.com The Zutons play Belsonic, Custom House Square, Belfast on August 15, with special guests The Go! Team.

Now additional supports have been announced, with indie outfit Mystery Jets topping the new list of acts. UK hip-hop electro duo Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip will also play, along with Delorentos, representing Dublin, and Belfast's own Skibunny DJs.

The Flaming Lips also play a Belsonic date on August 11, with support from Mogwai, Oppenhemier and Jape.

Less consciously preachy than their debut, it adds a welcome personal angle to their sound before moving up a gear for the rant-filled, closing moments. With as much in common with US underground rappers such as Sage Francis and Atmosphere as the stuttering UK scene, this odd pairing could well be the surprise find of the year.
