My Bloody Valentine and more added to Electric Picnic line-up!

Having announced Arctic Monkeys, Johnny Marr, Franz Ferdinand and many more at midday today, Electric Picnic fans haven't had to wait long to near more good news. At the festival's launch party, it was announced that they'll be given the opportunity to hear Kevin Shield's and company perform their new album for the first time on Irish shores.

On top of that, Swedish electronic duo The Knife, legendary hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan and even more legendary reggae group Black Uhuru will all be performing.

No doubt, there will be further additions over the coming days and months. However, today has been a fantastic day to whet our collective festival appetites...
