Mogwai return to Dublin
The Scottish post-rockers play the Olympia in February
The Hot Press Newsdesk, 05 Oct 2010

Mogwai are set to play a one-off show at the Olympia Theatre early next year, on Tuesday February 15. The Glaswegians visited Ireland last year while touring their latest studio album The Hawk Is Howling. They sold out three Academy headline shows then, so demand is sure to be high once again.
Tickets go on sale for the Olympia date this Thursday October 7 at 9am.
While you wait for that, check out two of the greatest artists of the last twenty years performing in the same video below.

MOGWAI Red Box, Dublin Well, you can’t dance to them. Big, singalong choruses aren’t really their thing either. And the only movement on stage comes when they move from standing still to sitting down. So what do you actually do at a Mogwai gig?

Do not be deceived. The bombastic call-to-arms of the title is magnificently misleading in the same cheeky spirit of Mogwai's 'Blur Are Shite' t-shirts.

As over the top it may sound, the best way of describing Mogwai's music comes in a sample from their first LP Mogwai Young Team; "if the stars had a sound, they would sound like this."
