Why not kick off next week in the company of the New York dream poppers?
As previously reported on hotpress.com, Mercury Rev will be hitting Dublin and heading for the Vicar Street stage next Wednesday. Prior to that however, they are set to play two shows in Cork.
Their gig on Tuesday May 17 in Cyprus Avenue may be sold out, but tickets are still available for the Monday May 16 show in the same venue, so snap them up while you can.
If you needed any incentive, the band will be performing the classic 1998 album Deserter's Songs in its entirety, as part of the ATP 'Don't Look Back' season - (a series which has featured albums like The Stooges' Fun House, Sonic Youth's Daydream Nation and Spiritualized's Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space.)

Tickets for the Monday night show in Cyprus Avenue are priced at €27.50 and are available here.
