Meghan Trainor has made it three weeks on top of the charts, as ‘All About That Bass’ hangs on to the top spot.
The American has held off the challenge of Ed Sheeran, who remains at No. 2 with ‘Thinking Out Loud’, while his friends in One Direction jump straight into No. 3 with ‘Steal My Girl’.
A lady who has personal links to both aforementioned acts is at No. 4 – Taylor Swift, with ‘Shake It Off’ – while three more pop divas are at No. 5; ‘Bang Bang’ making it four weeks in the upper reaches for Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
Former chart-topper ‘Prayer in C’ lies in sixth spot, while G.R.L.’s ‘Ugly Heart’ is at No. 7. Calvin Harris’ collaboration with John Newman, ‘Blame’, is at No. 8, and there's another British lung-buster at No. 9; ‘I’m Not The Only One’ seeing Sam Smith slot in one ahead of the only Irish artist in the top 10.
Fittingly, it’s the irrepressible Hozier, whose ‘Take Me To Church’ is still selling well, over a year after its release.
