Greg Haver has joined the list of major industry names appearing at The Music Show. The event takes place at the RDS in Dublin on October 4 and 5 and boasts a line-up that is packed with industry heavyweights.
He will join the Future Cut team of Darren Lewis and Tunde Babalola on a panel that offers bands, musicians, producers and fans alike an opportunity to get a feel for where record production is heading – and what the demands and challenges will be over the coming decade.
Haver, who is best known for his production work with Manic Street Preachers and Mel C, is one of the most renowned figures on the Welsh music scene. He has worked with virtually all of the important Welsh bands of recent times, including Super Furry Animals, Catatonia. Lost Prophets and Bullet For My Valentine, as well as recording and mixing the soundtrack for the Marc Evans fiilm, the BAFTA Award winning Beautiful Mistake, with the Velvet Underground's John Cale.
Among many Manic Street Preachers records, he was producer of their Lifeblood album, including the No.2 singles 'The Love of Richard Nixon' and 'Empty Souls'. His work with Mel C included the Beautiful Intentions album, which contained the Top 10 hit 'Next Best Superstar'. And he scored numerous Top 40 hits with INME, including 'Faster The Chase'.
He also produced and co-wrote the song 'The Ten Commandments of Bart' from The Simpsons' Yellow album.

An excellent speaker, he has appeared at the Resonate Seminar in Auckland, by:Larm in Norway, the Baltic Music Conference in Riga, was on the producer panel at In The City 2004 and has done seminars for the Music Producers Guild in the UK.
He is a music advisor to the Arts Council of Wales and has won several Welsh Music Awards for his production work and services to the Music Industry.
