Manic Street Preachers give away a new track
It all bodes extremely well for their new album!
The Hot Press Newsdesk, 18 Aug 2010

Manic Street Preachers are making a new track available as a free download.
‘I’m Leaving You For Solitude’ is the B-side (if B-sides still exist!) of their new ‘(It’s Not War) Just The End Of Love’ single, which is out here on September 10. The band’s Postcard From A Young Man album follows a week later with hardcore fans needing to track down the gold mirror covered Special Edition, which features a bonus disc of demos and a 36-page booklet curated by Nicky Wire.
As for dates, we’d be extremely surprised if the trio don’t make it over to Ireland before Christmas.

On the face of it, you could take the title as indicating a reversal of the Manics' musical prejudices. Nicky Wire might've always professed a hatred of the New York school of hip, yet the opening notes of this album find his band blamming their way through a prime Velvets 4/4 and one-note piano motif ('Found That Soul').
