Lupe Fiasco - new album LASERS on the way
The rapper is back after a four year absence
Chicago-born rapper Lupe Fiasco will release his third album LASERS, on Friday March 4. This follows his debut Food & Liquor (2006), and 2007's The Cool.
LASERS - an acronym for 'Love Always Shines Everytime: Remember to Smile' - features production by Jerry Wonder and The Neptunes, as well as collaborations with John Legend and Trey Songz, among others.
Fiasco is known for steering clear of the clichéd lyrics which often feature strongly in the rap genre. You'll find no bitches 'n hoes on LASERS!
“I want to start a popular uprising,” he says. “The music is the bait to get people to come in and listen to what I’m saying.”
