All the glitz'n'glam of the event will air on Monday night
The fresh-faced duo of Louise Duffy (pictured) and Eoghan Doherty will present a special TV3 IFTA Film and Drama Awards programme this Monday.
Coverage of Sunday’s event in the Mansion House will screen at 9pm on Bank Holiday Monday, with the double act on the red carpet and backstage, bringing viewers exclusive interviews with the nominees and reporting on the glitz'n'glam of the evening, ahead of and during the awards ceremony.
Presenting duties on the night itself will be handled by Caroline Morahan, as the likes of Michael Fassbender, Colin Farrell, Jamie Dornan, Liam Cunningham and Domhnall Gleeson slug it out in pursuit of the gongs.
While Louise will be hobnobbing with the stars and getting the first backstage and red carpet interviews with all the winners, Eoghan will be holding the fort in TV3’s backstage studio overlooking the red carpet, chatting to some of the special guests of the night.
Lynda McQuaid, TV3 Group Director of Content, said: “It’s TV3’s first time broadcasting coverage of the IFTA Awards and we look forward to bringing viewers alternative coverage of the ceremony. Hosted on the evening by Caroline Morahan and with Louise and Eoghan on hand backstage and on the red carpet, viewers won’t miss out on any of the excitement from the event.”
