Scott Gorham makes his Planet Rock debut on Sunday night.
Thin Lizzy legend Scott Gorham has a new gig – presenting a two-hour show on Planet Rock, the Sony Award-winning digital radio station that was taken over last year by a consortium that includes Tony Iommi, Gary Moore and Fish among its supporters.
Debuting at 6pm on Sunday April 5, Scott – according to the press blurb – “will be bringing you tales from the road and war stories from his time with Thin Lizzy, while also playing some of his favourite music.”
Gorham’s in good company, with the UK broadcaster’s line-up also featuring the aforementioned Fish, Rick Wakeman, Alice Cooper and guitarslinger du jour Joe Bonamassa. Listen online at www.planetrock.co.uk.
Scott will also be spinning some of those yarns of his in the next issue of Hot Press when he talks to Roisin Dwyer about ping pong playing with Freddy Mercury, being supported by the little-known U2 at Slane and the Lizzy/Sex Pistols mutual appreciation society.
