Leftfield replace Groove Armada at Life Festival
Groove Armada have had to pull out due to a "medical emergency".
It's a sad start to the musical week as we learn that Groove Armada will no longer be playing next weekend's Life Festival.
The event takes place May 24-26 in Belvedere House, County Westmeath.
Groove Armada have released a statement explaining the situation:
"Due to a medical emergency, Andy Cato from Groove Armada is unable to travel to the forthcoming shows in Ireland & Ibiza while he undergoes surgery for a herniated disc.
Andy commented "Obviously I hate letting down the promoters and ticket buyers but in this situation there really is nothing I can do apart from to hope the operation works so I can at least start walking again."
Tom and Andy hope that more positive news will follow post-surgery (today) and the rest of the summer shows will proceed as planned.”
We wish Andy a very speedy recovery. The silver lining is that, to make up for the loss, Leftfield have confirmed they will now be appearing, playing a very special DJ set.
