Rodrigo y Gabriela have been quietly – that's loudly, in a soundproof room – beavering away on the follow-up to 2012's Area 51 and now we have some concrete details and a new song.

The Mexico duo beloved in Ireland will release their fifth album on April 29.

Entitled 9 Dead Alive, it features nine tracks, covering 875 years of history and paying homage to a specific individual on each number. Tour details will follow.

First up, we have 'The Soundmaker', which honours lutemaker Antonio de Torres Jurado, credited with inventing the classical guitar.
