These gigs coincide with the Blian na Gaelige celebrations, for which Kíla have partnered with Seachtain na Gaeilge, Raidió na Life, Foras na Gaeilge, IMRO, Gaelscoileanna, Scléip and Blian na Gaeilge 2013.
Throughout February and March the band have been visiting different Dublin and Bray Gaelscoils and undertaking workshops in classrooms to show their gratitude to Gaelscoileanna, where they were given the opportunity to play music. While they'll also be inviting bands from Gaelcholáistí (secondary Gaelic Schools) in the area surrounding the venues to play support at the evening shows.
Kíla have also added their name to a new prize, Rogha Kíla, in the national performance competition Scléip (which replaced Slógadh - Kíla reached the finals one year). Kíla members will adjudicate at the finals in the Axis Theatre, Ballymun. The winners will get to perform at one of Kíla's larger concerts later in the year.
