Ireland's favourite adopted American, Josh Ritter, is back with a new album out in August.
That much-loved guest of the nation, Josh Ritter, has announced details of his new album which is due on August 21.
Titled The Historical Conquests Of Josh Ritter, it features ‘To The Dogs Or Whoever’, ‘Mind’s Eye’, ‘Right Moves’, ‘The Temptation Of Adam’, ‘Open Doors’, ‘Rumors’ (he’s allowed to spell it wrong ‘cause he’s American), ‘Edge Of The World’, ‘Wait For Love’, ‘Real Long Distance’, ‘Next To The Last Romantic’, ‘Moons’, ‘Still Beating’, ‘Empty Hearts’ and ‘Wait For love (You Know You Will)’.
“This record was made in the woods of interior Maine and produced by Sam Kassirer,” Ritter reveals. “Lyrically, musically, and in terms of production it's the most adventurous record I've made yet and I think when you hear it you're going to be surprised. Seriously, repeatedly, and in a good way.”
Meanwhile, Josh’s star continues to rise in the States with ‘Good Man’ from the Animal Years album gracing the season finale of Hugh Lawrie’s House.
