Three nights to celebrate 20 years of Whelans
Josh Ritter and the Love Cannon String Band have confirmed three consecutive nights in Whelans this October 21, 22 and 23. The dates coincide with the 20th anniversary of Whelans as a venue, and are built around the planned acoustic reissues of three of Ritter's past albums; 'The Golden Age of Radio', 'Hello Starling' and 'The Animal Years'. A performance is also planned for Belfast.
The nights are scheduled as follows, each night focussing on a single album, with the shows boasting a brand new string band comprised of upright bass, mandolin and acoustic guitar - all ably supplied by Ritter's friends from the Love Canon String Band.
