A songwriters' songwriter - and an American musical gem - John Prine has announced a pair of Irish dates for this summer.
The Illinois-born musician - who has seen his compositions recorded by everyone from the Everly Brothers and Johnny Cash to Joan Baez and Carly Simon - hits Irish shores in August, visiting Glór in Clare (26) before a date in Vicar St (28).
Tickets, priced at €45, go on sale Friday.
