2FM supremo to discuss the future of broadcasting.
John McMahon took up the post of Head of 2FM almost a year ago in October 2009. The appointment came as no surprise as he's been with RTÉ for over 15 years working variously on music, current affairs and features programming.
He is best known for his radio work with the likes of Ryan Tubridy, Gerry Ryan, John Kelly, Pat Kenny and Joe Duffy but has also spent time in RTÉ Television, as Deputy Head of Schedule Planning and the broadcaster's first webmaster, setting up rte.ie back in 1996.
John cut his musical teeth on the other side of the microphone, as a presenter of the cult music show Planet X on FM104 for three years in the mid 1990s.
