Legendary 'performance poet' John Cooper Clarke will be visiting Dublin in May.
'The Bard of Salford', who's previously opened for acts like the Sex Pistols, The Fall, Joy Division, Buzzcocks, Elvis Costello and Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, will be in Crawdaddy on May 15.
A post-punk DJ set from Shock DJs will get things started on the night, followed by music, comedy and poetry from Clarke.
Clarke recently played himself in Anton Corbijn's Joy Division biopic Control, recreating a 1977 concert when he supported the post-punk legends, while his poem 'Out Of Control Fairground' was printed in the liner notes of the most recent album from the Arctic Monkeys, who've cited him as a major influence.
