Irish acts take the Red Bull Bedroom Jam by storm

No Mean City & Half Hour Heroes have both starred in the Monday night webcasts.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 13 Apr 2010

Irish bands have been topping the charts in the Red Bull Bedroom Jam, the weekly webcasts where selected acts get to perform live from their bedrooms and take part in some of the summer’s biggest festivals including Underage, Download and T In The Park.

First to lead the online voting and do their thing were Derry’s No Mean City.

Next up for a live streaming are Half Hour Heroes who hail from Artane and entered a camcorder clip for their ‘Act Of Altruism’ live favourite.

16 acts will get to perform over as many weeks, with seven going through to the festival stage, and three ultimately being deemed the Bedroom Jam Bands of the Year.

New webisodes of the Red Bull Bedroom Jam go out at 5pm on Mondays.
