Irish Producer works with The Cars
Jacknife Lee is helping to harness the reunited and rejuvenated American rockers on an upcoming release
Irish producer Jacknife Lee, who has lent his talents to acts such as U2 and Snow Patrol as well as Weezer and R.E.M., will be producing the new album by The Cars.
The Cars, who came to prominence in the late 1970s before breaking up in 1988, had international hits with songs such as "Just What I Needed" and "My Best Friend's Girl." The band has recently reunited and are in the studio working on an album which is set to be released in the Spring, tentatively titled 69.
Luckily for everyone waiting on news of their album, they've also released a one minute, thirteen second montage featuring the song 'Blue Tip' on Facebook, which can be seen here.
