The Bray man will battle it out against Pharrell Williams, Jack White, John Legend and Beck for International Male Solo Artist.
The nominees for the 2015 Brit Awards, taking place in London on February 25, have just been announced and perhaps inevitably Hozier keeps the Irish flag flying high.
The ‘Take Me To Church’ singer features in the prestigious International Male Solo Artist category. He’s up against some heavyweight competition in the form of Pharrell, Jack White, John Legend and Beck.
A win could make for a very good start to spring for the star – earlier that month ‘Take Me To Church’ will be in the running to pick up a Grammy for Song Of The Year.
This week alone, Andrew Hozier-Byrne was awarded an EBBA at Eurosonic. Heady times for the 24-year-old.
Back to the Brits, Sam Smith leads the nominations – he’s up for awards in five categories, most notably in the British Album category, where In The Lonely Hour competes with Ed Sheeran’s X and for British Male Solo Artist ,where he again goes toe-to-toe with Sheeran.
The full list of nominees can be found here.
