How Japanese Popstars started in a Thurles field!
In the issue of Hot Press published today, the Popstars' Decky Headrock traces the band’s origins to a muddy field in Thurles, but won’t admit who the iconic figure on their new album is...
Talking to Hot Press from Miami where he’s enjoying the “gorgeous weather and the fake boobs” Decky reveals that, “When I went to Feile ‘94 and I saw The Prodigy do their live show it converted me to dance music on the spot."
And, revealing that one of the performers on the new album is utterly “iconic”, Decky teases, “… we have to keep our mouths shut about it for a few weeks. We couldn’t believe it when this particular singer agreed to work with us.. We’re absolutely flabbergasted to be working with them because they’re such a legend.”
