The Beatles legend's ex-wife says Rihanna and Kanye collaborations are his attempt to stay relevant.
If you missed last week's Late Late Show due to all the St. Patrick's Weekend fun, a Beatle came under attack.
In a pre-recorded interview ostensibly to talk about her appearance on Channel 4 reality show The Jump with Ryan Tubridy, Heather Mills took the opportunity to attack the musical legend.
Mills, who divorced McCartney in 2008, said that his career amounted to a "a few cool songs in the ‘60s and ‘70s" and undermined Macca's recent collaboration with Rihanna and Kanye West on the track 'FourFiveSeconds' as an attempt to stay relevant.
"If I go down the street,’ said Mills, "All I get is kids coming up to me. Half of them don’t even know who he us. That’s why he’s got to do songs with Rihanna and Kanye West, so people remember who he is. I have people going 'Oh my God, you’re the ski racer' or ‘You help animals'."
This came after Mills had stated:
"I don’t really want this interview to be all about Paul you know, cos it’s just like that umbilical cord was broken, he’s married someone else and you know I agreed to come on the show so it wasn’t just all about Paul."
