Green Day to play Marlay Park, June 2010
The punk rock trio will return to Ireland for a one off gig at Dublin's Marlay Park on June 23 next year.
The band, who were Hot Press cover stars in November, and who played to a sold-out O2 only last month, are known for their electrifying and energetic live performances.
The band's latest album 21st Century Breakdown was a huge international hit and went to No.1 in 16 territories around the world, including the US and the UK. They also had a No.1 single with the first track from the album, 'Know Your Enemy'.
The announcement should definitively end speculation that the band will play Slane, which has been rumoured for a number of years now.
Tickets priced €61.80, will go on sale this Friday 18 December at 9.00am from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
