Gorillaz booked to replace U2 at Glastonbury
Following the news of Bono's back injury, speculation was rife as to who would replace U2 in their headlining slot on Glastonbury pyramid stage this year...
Earlier today there were hints that a British act was set to replace U2, and today festival organizer Michael Eavis confirmed that Gorillaz have been booked for the slot.
It is the second year in a row that Damon Albarn will headline the festival, after a memorable festival closing performance by Blur last year. It will be Gorillaz' only British festival appearance and it has been promised to be an audio-visual spectacular .
