Good Evans
This fortnight, UK comedian Lee Evans visits these shores for three Irish performances.
Lee Evans brings his Roadrunner tour this way at the end of October. And judging by ticket sales so far, it’s gonna be a night to remember
The British actor and stand-up has added 17 dates to the tour (initially just of the UK) after the initial batch of tickets sold out last year. This means he’ll now perform an impressive 67 dates in 14 cities, including three in Ireland. Catch him in Dublin’s O2 on October 26, and then Belfast’s Odyssey Arena (28, 29).
Meanwhile, the Galway Comedy Festival continues to entertain in the west, with performances taking place around the city. Highlights this fortnight in the Roisin Dubh include David O’Doherty (October 27), Ardal O’Hanlon and Hector Ó hEochagháin (29), and The Rubberbandits’ Hallowe’en Big Dirty Rave (31).
Speaking of DO’D, he brings David O’Doherty Is Looking Up to the Pavilion Theatre (21) and then to Tipperary’s Source Arts Centre (22) this fortnight too.
Down south, Limerick duo D’Unbelievables will perform for two nights in Killarney’s INEC (28, 29), while Mick Foley plays Cork’s Cyprus Avenue (November 3) and Run For Your Wife runs in the Haulbowline Theatre (20, 22, 33).
Back to the capital, Dylan Moran continues his spate of Vicar St. shows (27, 28, 29), Maria Byrne plays Whelan’s (27) with special guest Maeve Higgins, and there’s a charity night in the Olympia Theatre (20) featuring Des Bishop, David O’Doherty, Neil Delamere, Maeve HIggins, Colin Murphy and Dead Cat Bounce. All proceeds go to the Central Remedial Clinic.
