Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill, Toumast and Stout & McKay have all been confirmed on the line-up for this year's Kilkenny Arts Festival

Along with trad virtuosos Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill, Malian blues guitarists Toumast and Shetland trad group Stout & McKay, the August festival will see performances by Norwegian jazz percussionist Terje Isungset, Sardinian guitarist Paolo Angeli, Irish-based multi-national Cuban group Havana Son and a jazz trio featuring British rap and jazz star Soweto Kinch.
Also new this year, Kilkenny Arts Festival introduces a music strand called ‘Wired’, featuring Mercury Rev, Spiritualized, Lisa Hannigan and an up-and-coming bands slot.
The Kilkenny Arts Festival takes place in various venues from August 8-17. For more information, or to get tickets for any of the events, visit www.kilkennyarts.ie.
