Friendly Fires set to hit the airwaves with new single
Fresh from Oxegen, Friendly Fires will release their new single ‘Hawaiian Air’ on July 22.
The summery track, recorded in the band’s own St Alban’s studio, is the second single from their critically acclaimed second album Pala.
“It’s about enduring a horrific flight to Hawaii,” says lead singer Ed Macfarlane.
“The verses are all about bad food, shit films, uncomfortable seats, and turbulence. The chorus is about smashing down on the ground and being free from the turmoil you have endured in the air. You walk off the plane and breath in the Hawaiian air and the painful journey has been worth it.”
