Wasting Light is a return to a heavier sound
Foo Fighters have announced their first new album since 2007's Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace with the upcoming relase of Wasting Light on April 8. The album, which was recorded using only analog-equipment and with legendary producer Butch Vig (think Nirvana's Nevermind, Sonic Youth, Garbage), is a clear attempt to move the band back to a rockier, grittier feel. Exemplifying this is a viral teaser for the album, 'White Light', featuring the heaviest sound the band have had in years. The album's first proper single 'Rope' is out on March 1 and will be available for free download. Check out the tracklisting below:
