Flaming Lips release new track

It's the 2nd song of the band's one-a-month promise

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 28 Mar 2011

Another month, another song...at least that's what The Flaming Lips promised us earlier this year and so far the band have delivered with new release 'Is David Bowie Dying?' (definitely up there with 'Approaching Pavonis Mons by Balloon (Utopia Planitia)' as one of the more out-there Lips' song titles). The track is a collaboration with Neon Indian's Alan Palon and is a slow-burning foreboding track with typically archaic electronic twitches and flourishes. It follows last month's 'Two Blobs Fucking' in the band's plan to slowly roll out songs on a monthly basis as an alternative to a full-length album.

The band are headlining, of course, this summer at the inagural Forbidden Fruit Festival on June 4 and you can check out 'Is David Bowie dying?' below.
