Bruce Springsteen is set to release a reissue of 1978's The Promise, (subtitled The Lost Sessions: Darkness on the Edge of Town).

The album followed Springsteen's 1975 classic Born To Run, but was written while the star was embroiled in a lawsuit with his then manager. The singer has described the album as "a reckoning with the adult world ... with a life of limitations and compromises."
