The late Nirvana star's daughter, Frances Bean, is one of the producers of the film.
The first Kurt Cobain documentary authorised by the late Nirvana frontman's family will be with us next year. Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck is directed by Brett Morgan, the man behind 2012's Stones doc Crossfire Hurricane. It also has Frances Bean Cobain as one of its producers. Set to debut on HBO in 2015, Morgen says he has been working on the project for eight years and that it will draw on Kurt's recording, artwork, personal home videos and more.
Frances Bean tweeted yesterday evening:
I'm really excited for you guys to see Montage of Heck. @brettmorgen created an intense yet wonderful examination of Kurt's life & art.
