A new Ghostbusters movie is on the way, but not with the lineup you remember.
A long hoped-for sequel to Ghostbusters is finally on the way after a long period of rumors and speculation. Hopes for the project seemed to be dashed with the death of original Ghostbuster Harold Ramis and fellow cast member Bill Murray saying he wouldn't be a part of it, but those circumstances have led to something entirely different and new; an all-female Ghostbusters.
Confirmed by director Paul Feig today, the new team will be comprised of some of today's queens of comedy, including Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig, current cast members Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, and the ever-reliable Melissa McCarthy.

There won't be something strange in your neighborhood for awhile; the film is scheduled for a July 22, 2016 release. But let the hype commence!
