This film's crap: let's remake it and score the soundtrack! Belfast production maverick and film buff David Holmes hits Tinseltown on the wave of Ocean's 11
David Holmes has been talking exclusively to hotpress.com about the American premiere of Ocean's 11.
"It was fucking huge," he enthuses. "There was a street of red carpet. I brought my whole family from Chicago up to see it – to them it was this huge Hollywood experience."
Following the screening, director Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon eschewed an evening of schmoozing to indulge in some good ol' patriotism.
"Yeah, they went to Turkey that night and showed the movie to the troops – as American as you like."

Clooney was so impressed with Holmer's soundtrack – out next week on Warners – that he's asked him to work on his directorial debut, Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind. Co-starring Julia Roberts, it's the allegedly true story of Chuck Barris, a US gameshow host who claims to have been a CIA hitman.
"Clooney's great craic," he resumes. "A complete star! We stayed in the Sunset Marquee and upstairs you had The Whiskey Bar. On an average night in there you'd have Drew Barrymore, Forrest Whittaker and Hugh Hefner. Actually, that was one of the most bizarre nights I had over there."
